WHAT IS AGASU? HOW IT IS RELATED TO RAHU KALAM? We look for the details of Rahu Kalam in the daily calendar. The Rahu Kalam spreads to 1 1/2 hours (in general) from Sunday to Saturday. MUHURTHA ASTROLOGY: AUSPICIOUS TIME

Can we conduct Marriages & auspicious functions in Krishna Paksha? Muhurtha Astrology As per the Hindu Religion, Waxing Moon period (the journey from New Moon to Full Moon @ the period from Amavasya to Poornima) is considered as ascending period; hence this phase is considered as auspicious.  The Waning Moon period (the journey from Full Moon to New Moon @ the period from Poornima to Amavasya) is considered as descending period; hence this period is considered as inauspicious.  There is a general belief that the auspicious days (muhurtha day) coming under the Sukla Paksha is more auspicious over the days that comes under the Krishna Paksha. Amavasya in Vedic Astrology

Muhurtha Astrology: Can we conduct any auspicious functions on Amavasya? Amavasya Many believe that a day with Amavasya is highly auspicious and the functions can be held on those days.  But as per the Vedic Astrology, the days that comes with both Amavasya and Pournami are not auspicious; hence conducting functions on Amavasya and Pournami must be avoided. The Sun is considered to be the Soul; and the Moon is considered to be body. That is, Moon must remain stronger for any one for all kinds of materialistic way of life & activity.   The Sun and Moon are placed closer to each other within +/- 03.20.00 degrees from each other on Amavasya day The Sun and Moon are placed diametrically opposite to each other by +/- 180 degrees from each other on Poornima Day As per the Vedic Astrology, the Moon gets combusted by the Sun, when it is placed closer to each other (Amavasya day).
