IMPORTANCE OF 5TH HOUSE

What is Putra Dosha?

In Vedic Astrology, 5th house indicates the child birth and the relationship with the children. In default, the 5th house indicates the quantum of both the Virtues or the Sins that a person carries from his/her previous birth.

It is assumed that if the 5th house is stronger and does not get affected by any dosham, then the particular person would have lived a perfect (which is morally and ethically correct) life during his/her previous birth. The stronger 5th house gurantees perfect children, superb fortunes, extraordinary IQ level and blessings from the ancestors.

If a horoscope contain serious problems with regard to its 5th house or its house lord, then the person would automatically falls into "Pithru Dosha" and "Putra Dosha". We all know that the Pitra Dosha is a curse on the whole family either by the departed souls in their house or by the curse by the known or unknown people who had been affected or suffered at the hands of their living family elders or the departed ancestors.

The "Putra Dosha" can be classified as thus:

1. Inability to conceive.
2. Miscarriages or forced abortions during the time of pregnancy.
3. Giving birth to mentally retarded or physically disabled children.
4. Troublesome or Violent behaviour of the children who brings immense pain and agony to the parents.
5. Parents witnessing the various troubles of their own children during their lifetime.

In this post, let us see the reasons for the miscarriages that happen during the pregnancy. Following planetary positions do indicate the serious nature of "Putra Dosha" which also brings miscarriages at the various levels of pregnancy.

1. The 5th house lord or Guru or both getting combusted by the Sun.

2. The presence of 5th house lord or Guru or both getting placed in the malefic houses or getting placed with the combination of malefic grahas.

3. The 5th house lord or Guru or both getting debilitated or moving in a retrograde manner or both.

4. The 5th house lord or the Guru or both being surrounded by the malefic planets or having any form of association with those malefic grahas.

5.  The 5th house lord or the Guru or both traversing in the Nakshatras that belongs to the malefic grahas.

6. The presence of retrograde or debilitaed planets in the 5th house indicates serious troubles during the pregnancy.

7. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is being viewed by any debilitated or retrograde planets, then the troubles increases to a greater extent.

8. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is hemmed by 6th & 8th house lords, then the risks increases in a alarming proposition. It must be noted that the risk level remains same, when it is hemmed by any of the combinations of 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th house lords.

9. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is placed in Maraka Sthana (House of Death) or Pathaga Sthana (House of collateral Damages), then the risks level increases to an unimaginable level.

10. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both getting debilitated or remaining weak or getting placed in the malefic house from the respective lagnas in all the Dasamsa charts, then the risk level increases further.

11. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both gets closer to Kethu within + (or) - 03.20.00 degrees, then the trouble increases to an alarming position. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both remain in a retrograde manner or gets debilitated or gets combusted by the Sun, then the trouble reaches the peak. This position would become extremely serious implications for the Meena Lagna natives (Pisces Rising)

12. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both gets closer to Rahu within + (or) - 03.20.00 degrees, then the trouble increases to an alarming position to the Mesha Lagna (Aries sign) natives. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both remain in a retrograde manner or gets debilitated, then the trouble reaches the peak.

13. In general, the presence of Rahu and Kethu in the 5th house indicates certain amount of Putra Dosha. But the problem increases, if the Rahu or Kethu is either weak or gets debiliated in the 5th house.

14. The presence of Kethu in the 5th house for the Makara Lagna and the Rahu in the 5th house for the Kataka Lagna do indicate the Putra Dosha.

15. The debilitated or retrograde or eclipsed Shani, Mars, Guru either with or without the Rahu or Kethu and also with the Descending or debilitated Moon in the 5th house could seriously jeopardize the chances of conceiving.

Let us see the type of children that a person can have according to his/her horoscope in the subsquent posts.

WHAT IS PITRA DOSHA?

What are the reasons that are likely to bring Pitra Dosha (Pithru Dosham) ?

1. Pithru Dosha is likely to affect anyone who tortures, maim or kill any living creature for pleasure, food, vengeance, arrogance or without any reasons. Pitra Dosha would also affect anyone who aid directly or indirectly or being instrumental to these acts.

2. Anyone who stand as a false testimony and wrongly accuse anyone for personal gain/ pleasure/ vengeance.

3. Anyone who knowingly or wilfully destroying the modesty of married / unmarried Girl/Women and ruining their life by deceiving them. Anyone who maintains illegitimate or illegal relationship with a married woman/ man. Pitra Dosha also affects anyone who marries a man or women, before getting out of their wedlock. The Pitra Dosha also affects the Women who directly or indirectly involved in damaging the modesty of another Women.

4. Anyone instigating troubles between the couple or between family members/ brothers/ sisters/ partners. These above acts by any individual would bring in bad karmas that can not be nullified or erased by offering pooja, homam, fasting, visiting important temples, donation and materialistic offerings. The above dosham gets deleted only if the person undergoes similar pain or agony during the present life or that comes after this.

The re-birth is decided on the basis of the quantum of bad karma that the soul carries on its head. If a soul has more good karmic assets to its credit, it will born in a family and to parents, where there are less amount of pain and more of happiness. On the other hand, a soul with lot of bad karmic qualities to its credit would born in a family where there exists sadness, sorrows and/or poverty, illiteracy that guarantees pain and agony to the soul.

The God does not give pain/agony, but it is being selected/earned/nurtured by our own actions. Unless a man/woman recognizes this truth and thereafter pledge to live in accordance of the will of the God, his life would be in a state of limbo.

IMPORTANCE OF THE MAHALAYA AMAVASYA

WHAT IS MAHALAYA AMAVASYA?

Mahalaya Amavasya is the highly auspicious time for performing Pitra Puja or Pithru Puja to pacify the departed souls of the anscestors.

The period starting from the Pirathamai Thithi (Tamil) or Pratipad Thithi (Hindi) (that is) the day next to Full Moon day (Poornima/Pournami) in the tamil month of Purattasi (Sept 15th - Oct 15th) and ending on the Amavasya Thithi (New Moon day) is the most auspicious time for performing this Pithru Puja.

It is good if the Pitra Puja is done on daily basis (15 days). If that is not possible, doing the Pitra Puja atleast on the day with Bharani Star and day with Ashtami Thithi is highly auspicious. Also doing the Pitra Puja on Mahalaya Amavasya day is highly auspicious and it gives the full satisfaction to the departed anscestors; who in turn would bless the whole family members.

Do the Pitra Puja and see the smiling face of your family members. Mahalaya Amavasya is the best chance never to be missed by each and everyone.

LIFE AFTER DEATH

As per the Hindu Vedic teachings, a soul will not die; but only the body perishes. But the soul after leaving the body carries its virtue and sins that has been earned during its life time. The Soul can not take a rebirth immediately. It has to live in Pitra Loga or Pithru Loga (Anscestor's World) after its departure from the Earth.

The Pitra Loga or Pithru Loga's one day equals our Earth's one year. Thus doing Pitra Tharpanam or Pithru Tharpanam once in a year means feeding and remembering your departed anscestors on daily basis. If a Soul fails to get this service done by his Sons/Daughters, then it has to wait for 100's of years for a rebirth; still such time arrives, the Soul waits for its turn in Pitra Loga or Pithru Loga.

Angered by the delay, the Souls curse their own siblings. This brings the worst form of Pitra Dosha or Pithru Dosham. This leads to cascading effects on Marriage, Child birth, Harmonius living and physical and mental illness on the entire family.

If a person performs Pitra Tharpanam or Pithru Tharpanam on the stipulated days, the Soul would be able to prepare for another rebirth; so that it will have a chance to earn good virtues and offload all sins. Thus the Soul becomes very happy and bless their siblings.

Thus a Soul would be able to arrange for its rebirth; rebirth would be calculated on the basis of its virtue. A Soul with good virtue will make a rebirth in a family that can deliver good things in the lifetime. Similarly a Soul with lot of Sins to its credit will end up in a family, where there are lot of sorrows and sadness that surrounds the family.
